Thurkill’s Battle – Out Now

My latest project is a sequel to Thurkill’s Revenge, entitled: Thurkill’s Battle. This story takes us from the aftermath of the Battle of Hastings, through Duke William’s coronation on Christmas Day, 1066 and into the first year of William’s reign.

It is a fun and interesting journey to delve into this period and explore the events which show that it was not as simple as: William kills Harold, William becomes King. Working within this time-line, it is a challenge to see how and where to insert our hero and to see what influence he can bring to bear on proceedings.

Second novel published

My second novel, Thurkill’s Revenge, was published on Amazon in February 2018.

Thurkill’s Revenge – Part 1 of the Huscarl Chronicles

My second novel, Thurkill’s Revenge, was published on Amazon in February 2018. Like ‘To The Devil His Due’ it is self-published in both paperback and kindle versions.

The novel is set in 1066 (more in keeping with my university studies) and follows the adventures of a young Saxon Huscarl – Thurkill – who bears witness to the cataclysmic events of that year. His journey takes him from teenage innocence to standing by his father’s side at the battles of Stamford Bridge and Hastings to, finally, being a leader of men and the protector of his family’s honour.
