I have a new book on the way. Although I am busy editing Thurkill’s Rebellion (part 3 of the Huscarl Chronicles), i am – in parallel – working on a new project. Editing can be so dull, so it’s nice to balance it out with something new and exciting. Not settled on a title yet (possibly Thunor’s Raven), but it is going to be a standalone work that is set in the early/mid 1020s in East Anglia. It is a tale of foul deeds and intrigue in the context of rivalry between a Lord’s sons born of different mothers. Loosely based on real events, it’s a lot of fun to be able to build flesh on to the very bare bones captured in the chronicles. Aim to have this published at some point in 2021.
